Maybe you don’t like camping or you travel by backpack and by bus through New Zealand. Auckland is a bustling city on New Zealand’s North Island. In addition, Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand. It is also a very relaxed place to spend a few days. Pay a visit to Queen Street (the main street of Auckland and also a nice shopping street) and don’t skip the port.
Looking for nice restaurants? Then you have to be in Karangahape Rd, a street full of delicious restaurants. Don’t forget to also take a look at the Ponsonby district. This trendy neighbourhood has nice boutiques and more than enough hotspots and tasty restaurants. Two nights is enough to experience Auckland. Christchurch is the largest city in the South Island. Chances are that you will fly to Christchurch when you visit New Zealand. You may know this city from the violent earthquakes that occurred here in 2010 and 2011. These earthquakes hit the city hard and destroyed many buildings. Because of this, Christchurch has reinvented itself and these days Christchurch is known for its trendy bars, cafés and nightlife.
