Lemon Tree hostel €
This hostel is located right in the centre of the city. The rooms overlook a courtyard where a small airplane is parked, funny to see! There are dormitories or private rooms with shared bathroom facilities. From € 28 per night for 2 pers.
Adra Hostel €€
This hostel is so beautiful that it feels like a design hotel. The location is very central and it has a cosy courtyard where you can relax for a few hours. The private rooms are very large and have room for 5 people. From €36 per night for 2 people (breakfast included).

The best accommodation options in San Marcos at Lake Atitlan
San Marcos La Laguna is located on the beautiful and popular Lake Atitlan. We chose to stay in this village because it appealed to us. Casa Madera €
We slept in this hostel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and with good beds. But the best thing is the roof terrace with hammocks, bean bags, and a nice view. Shared bathroom and toilet. From €40 per night for 2 pers.
Lush €€
This lovely eco-hotel is located close to the center of San Marcos. From the outside it is an oasis of green, inside the rooms are beautiful and luxurious. From €87 per night for 2 people (including breakfast).
Kula Maya Boutique €€€€
This beautiful luxury 5-star resort has a great pool and a spa. The rooms have a view of the lake. Pricey but the place to completely unwind. From €438 per night for 2 people.
Sleeping in the beautiful nature of Semuc Champey/ Lanquin!
Semuc Champey wasn’t our favorite place in Guatemala (read our experiences visiting Semuc Champey here!). But fortunately, many other travelers have more positive experiences with this place. Greengo’s €€
This nice hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the Semuc Champey pools. A brand new swimming pool and jacuzzi have just been built in front of the colorful little cottages. From €50 per night for 2 people.
Utopia Eco Hotel €
Set in a beautiful place in the rainforest, this hotel forces you to slow down and relax! There is a good shuttle service and restaurant. From €35 per night for 2 people.
Mountain Nest €€€
This cozy home has two warm and welcoming owners and a beautiful view. To reach it you will need a 4×4 and you still have to walk a short distance, but that is more than worth it! From €100 per night for 2 people.
The best hotels and hostels in Tikal

This is the hostel where we stayed. The rooms are brand new and beautiful. It’s part of the Hotel Jungle Lodge and you can use their pool and facilities. Shared bathroom and toilet. From €69 per night for 2 pers.
Hotel Jungle Lodge €€€
This luxury hotel has a swimming pool, cinema, and a beautiful lounge. You sleep in private bungalows that are fully equipped. There is a restaurant and a bar. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious. From €155 per night for 2 pers.
Hotel Jaguar Inn €€
This is a slightly less luxurious hotel than the Jungle Lodge, but it looks nice. You sleep in private bungalows with a private bathroom. The hotel also has a restaurant. From €70 per night for 2 pers.

The best hostels and guesthouses in Flores
Flores is a city partly built on an island. It is a nice place for one or two days and we use Flores as a base to visit Tikal and then travel to Belize. Below are two nice hotels on Flores, if you want to see all the accommodation on Flores, click here.

This brand new hostel is nice and colorful and very well-priced! There is a rooftop where you have a view of the river and also handy, each room has a fridge. From €63 per night for 2 people.

Hotel Casona Del Lago €€€
This hotel has a swimming pool and jacuzzi. Note, it’s not on the island, but on the mainland. You reach the island of Flores by crossing the bridge, a short distance. From €133 per night for 2 people including breakfast.
