As we speak, we are in line at the KLM check-in counter. In about an hour we’ll fly to Guatemala City via Detroit and Atlanta (yes, you have to have something)! The following three weeks we will make a tour through Guatemala and Belize, a wonderful prospect and we are so excited!
Off to Guatemala and Belize!
At the moment, we don’t know yet what our route will be. This time we will travel a bit different than we normally do: we haven’t planned almost anything, while normally we plan everything ahead. I wonder how this way of travelling will be. I planned to start reading the Lonely Planet (thanks Hugo!) on the plane and then see how our trip will go. We do know where we will start: in Antigua. Furthermore, I want to climb a volcano and visit some Maya temples. In Belize, we will go diving (because of course, I didn’t get that diving license for nothing) and furthermore, we are invited by the sailing company Raggamuffin, to join them on a sailing trip for a few days. That will be fantastic!
Blogging on the road…
We will be backpacking again, and tried to pack them even more minimalistic this time! I wonder if we are going to miss things on the way. Laptops and cameras, of course, go along and on the road, we keep on writing. Maybe we won’t have WiFi, or we are too busy with other fun things, to post regularly. Therefore, you can expect less new blogs online in the coming weeks.
So, in the meantime, we are already passed customs. Now we will be heading towards Starbucks, to do our travel ritual: starting our journey with a caramel Frappuccino!
