Northern lights accommodation tip for Lapland in Finland

If you are visiting Finland especially to admire the northern lights, consider booking a chalet or hotel with a glass ceiling or a room with very large windows. In this way, you can admire the stars and the milky way from your queen-size bed and hopefully also see the northern lights. How cosy: together with your loved one between the warm blankets while enjoying the aurora spectacle. Special memories of our time in Finnish Lapland!

We have so many good memories of Lapland! Lapland is the place where my fiance popped the ‘big’ question to me in the most beautiful location you can imagine. We also enjoyed endlessly the traditional Finnish saunas and had some delicious wines with friends by the fireplace. And then, I am not even talking about the most special activities that you absolutely must have experienced once: a husky ride, snowmobile driving and of course admiring the northern lights! Seeing the northern lights is so unbelievable special, we would go back in a second!
